What Information We Collect
When you create an account on our booking system, we collect:
- Account information: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number

- Booking records: the dates, time slots, and peg numbers you book
- Contact form messages: your name, email, and message content when you use our contact form
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your booking account
- Process and manage your peg bookings
- Send booking confirmations and important updates about your reservations
- Respond to your enquiries via the contact form
- Manage lake capacity and prevent double-bookings
- Maintain booking records for operational purposes (e.g. no-show tracking)
How We Store Your Data
Your account and booking data is stored securely by Supabase, a hosted database and authentication service. Supabase stores data in data centres within the EU. All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
We do not store your Google password. If you sign in via Google, authentication is handled entirely by Google's OAuth service — we only receive your name and email address.
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We share data only with:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which processes your data on our behalf
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google (standard OAuth flow)
- Resend — our email service provider, used to send booking confirmations and notifications
- Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website (see Cookies section below)
Lake administrators can see your name and booking details in order to manage the schedule. They cannot see your password or Google credentials.
Cookies & Analytics
Our booking system uses essential cookies to keep you signed in during your session. We do not use advertising cookies.
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised information about how visitors use our website — such as which pages are visited and how long visitors spend on each page. This helps us improve the site. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish unique users. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google.
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using your browser's cookie settings.
The main website may load third-party embeds (e.g. TikTok, Google Maps) which may set their own cookies — these are governed by their respective privacy policies.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time by contacting us
To exercise any of these rights, email info@lochmahon.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Data Retention
We retain your account and booking data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised booking records may be retained for operational reporting.
Children
Our booking system is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the booking system after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
